Technique Intensive Program Auditions

Thanks to all of the dancers who auditioned for next year's program.  We look forward to an exciting year.

Please contact Young Dance Academy for more information regarding the Technique Intensive program.  Information packets for the 2010-2011 program are available at the Front Desk at YDA now.

The TI Program is our source for dancers who see dance in their future as more than a recreational activity.  The TI Program provides intensive instruction in ballet, jazz and tap.  Dancers auditioned for the 2010 – 2011 TI Program in May of 2010.  They attend dance conventions and competitions throughout the country all season long where they continue to win scholarships and national titles.  Last season dancers attended New York City Dance Alliance in several cities across the country, Showbiz in Minneapolis, Dance Excellence 2010 in Los Angeles and New York City Dance Alliance Nationals in NYC.

Dancers from Young Dance have competed regionally and nationally in an extremely successful competitive program since 1991.  Our competitive dancers are selected from our Technique Intensive (TI) Program which evolved from our competitive program 7 years ago.

Congratulations...

This summer seven of our competitive Technique Intensive dancers attended the national New York City Dance Alliance convention and competition in NYC! It was quite the exciting finale! Here are the highlights:

Laura Ksobiech was awarded a full 4-year scholarship to the University of the Arts in Philadelphia (worth over $120,000).

Cindy Reid was awarded a half scholarship ($11,000 scholarship per ear for 4 years) to Marymount Manhattan in NY.

Nick Young finished as one of the top 10 in the Senior Male category and both Cindy and Laura finished in the top 5 in the Senior Female category! Laura was honored with 4th runner-up and Cindy 3rd runner-up after re-performing their solos!

Congratulations, dancers! We are very proud of all of you!
